Rafael Nadal Leaves Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer Trailing Behind in

Over the years, World No. 2 Rafael Nadal has been known to break records and set them again. Not many players have even dreamt of the milestones the Spaniard has achieved in his career so far. The fighting spirit that Rafa possesses is second to none. 

This has been an era dominated by the three most successful players the game has ever seen: Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal. The recently crowned Roland Garros champion comes out on top in yet another remarkable record.

Rafael Nadal Heads the Elite List

Rafa recorded 83.1% wins, which puts him on top of the ‘all-time’ list of players. Talking about his rivals, Novak Djokovic is on second with 82.9% and Roger Federer is on fourth with 82.1%.

The legend of yesteryears, Bjorn Borg, is in third spot, recording 82.4%. It’s incredible that Rafa continues to enthrall us with these feats and performances. In an individual sport, to be at the top of your game is something worth being proud of. 

With the number of injuries the Spaniard has gone through, very few imagined that Nadal would be able to sustain his career for so long. The ‘King of Clay’ is still far from done. 

The credit for his success must be shared with his uncle, Toni Nadal. The manner in which he groomed his nephew to be the player that he is today is phenomenal.

In 2020, a year that has not been the greatest for many, the Spanish sensation has done wonders for himself. Winning the French Open for a record 13th time is unthinkable. Nadal even holds the record for being in the ‘top 10’ for the most consecutive number of weeks. 

As the season has come to an end for this year, Nadal will next be seen at the Australian Open in 2021. The tournament has finally got the green signal to begin from the 1st of February.
