Kouskova, winner of the Santander Golf Tour LETAS Málaga and two other tests this season in the LET Access Series -second division of the European women’s circuit-, signed a card with six birdies, an eagle and a single bogey.

Behind, the leader of the LETAS ranking has the Swiss Vanessa Knecht, the German Verena Gimmy, the French Astryd Vayson de Pradenne and the English Gemma Clews, all of them with 5 and two strokes. As for the Spanish, Teresa Díez Moliner from Valladolid finished the first day with a lap of 68 shots (-4), and Patricia Sanz Barrio from Madrid did it with 69 (-3).

Within the walls of the current castle that dominates the city, there are evidence of a human settlement as early as the Neolithic (4500 BC) and in the early Iron Age (850 BC). The city of Burgos was undoubtedly founded as such by a Castilian count, a certain Diego Rodriguez “Porcelos” in 884.

Alfonso III, in an attempt to stop the Saracen advance, ordered the count to found a walled village on the bank of the Arlanzón river. The origin of the city is therefore military. Rodrigo “Ruy” Díaz, better known as El Cid, was born near Burgos around 1040.

Burgos, populated by royal mandate and subjected directly to the authority of the kings of Léon until 930, became the capital of the county of Castile when it gained independence from the kingdom of León with the help of Fernan Gonzalez.

When they met in 1035, it remained the capital until 1492. On January 27, 1512, a series of ordinances were drawn up in the city of Burgos, the Laws of Burgos (in Spanish Leyes de Burgos), the purpose of which was to regulate the treatment of the native peoples of the New World, which was not guaranteed by the Commendation.

They were the first laws that the Hispanic Monarchy applied to organize the conquest of the New World. Burgos was the scene of many conflicts: the Moorish wars, the fighting between León and Navarre, and those between Castile and Aragon.

It then became the scene of a battle in the Napoleonic period and again in the 19th century. During the Spanish Civil War Burgos was the base of the Francoist government.
