Projected Lineup: October 20 at Edmonton

EDMONTON, AB. – With a 3-0 start under their belts, the Carolina Hurricanes appear to be turning to Frederik Andersen once again in net Thursday as they take on the Edmonton Oilers.

Andersen has started in two out of the team’s three wins thus far this season, turning away 53 out of 55 shots against in victories over Columbus and Seattle.

The only other potential change to the club’s lineup from their victory over the Kraken on Monday would be that defenseman Calvin de Haan may slot back in. Carolina’s veteran blueliner played in the first two games of the season, but came out to make room for Dylan Coghlan‘s season debut.

Should he play, de Haan would be a part of an effort that will once again attempt to limit two of the game’s biggest stars – Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.

“Everyone tries [to stop them],” Rod Brind’Amour said following morning skate. “You come in with a game plan and it goes out the window most of the time because when those guys get the puck, they are on another level. The key is maybe not to worry about them so much. Worry about your game and try and do the things that make your team successful. They’re going to get theirs and they’re going to get their looks. I watched the other night and it was the McDavid show, or at least it felt like it while watching that game. Shift after shift after shift. If you get caught up worrying about that, it’s not going to be good. It might not be good anyways, but you’d better try and worry about your game.”

The Canes projected lineup for tonight’s 9 p.m. EST puck drop is:
