No. 1 Volleyball sweeps WVU

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – No. 1 Texas Volleyball finished off the regular season with a sweep of West Virginia, 25-18, 25-16, 25-11, on Wednesday at WVU Coliseum.

The Longhorns complete the regular season with a 22-1 overall record and 15-1 mark in Big 12 Conference play. Texas will wait to learn its postseason draw on the NCAA Selection show on ESPNU on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Texas hit .402 in the match and held the Mountaineers to a -.019 hitting percentage. The Longhorns also out-blocked the Mountaineers 10-1.

Asjia O’Neal, Logan Eggleston and Molly Phillips each finished with eight kills to lead the Longhorns. Madisen Skinner added seven kills and four blocks as well.

Saige Ka’aha’aina-Torres dished out 27 assists and added two blocks, six digs and one service ace.

Zoe Fleck led the Longhorns with 18 digs and added four assists and two aces.
