Good morning, Mets fans!

The Mets announced their first round of spring cuts Saturday night:

• RHP Jose Butto (optioned to Triple-A)
• RHP Connor Grey
• RHP Grant Hartwig
• RHP Eric Orze
• LHP Josh Walker
• C Kevin Parada
• OF Alex Ramirez

The Mets now have 55 players left in camp.

Per Tim Healey of Newsday, according to Buck Showalter, the Mets are still trying to figure out exactly what is going on with Jose Quintana’s injury. Billy Eppler later commented, according to Healey, that they hope to have answers on Quintana by Wednesday.

Kodai Senga was scheduled to be skipped on Saturday due to a sore right index finger. Per manager Buck Showalter, “If it was the regular, he would’ve pitched,” but since it’s still spring, the Mets decided to give him extra rest out of precaution. He’s still expected to be ready for opening day.
