Nick Kyrgios insists there is “absolutely no beef” between him and Bernard Tomic as he wishes nothing but the very best to his fellow compatriot. In the last couple of years, Kyrgios and Tomic traded shots in several instances.

On Instagram, Kyrgios hosted a Q&A session with his fans. “Still beefing with Tomic?” a fan asked Kyrgios. Kyrgios answered: “Absolutely not. I’m doing me. I wish him all the best and hope he wins some more futures.” Kyrgios, 27, suffered a meniscus tear injury during the offseason and that led to a cyst growing inside his knee.

After withdrawing from the Australian Open, Kyrgios surgically addressed his knee injury. “Will you be making a return to tennis this year? Been missing you. The sport needs you,” another fan asked Kyrgios. Kyrgios replied: “Currently taking it day by day with my knee and building up load.

Trying to get back to where I was.”

Kyrgios’ knee is 100% cleaned up

Kyrgios’ big goal for the start of the 2023 season was to become a Grand Slam champion in front of his home fans at the Australian Open. Following a devastating Australian Open withdrawal, Kyrgios decided the best solution was to surgically repair his knee.

In February, Kyrgios’ manager Daniel Horsfall said the Australian’s knee surgery went perfect. “The surgery went great, to be honest, we couldn’t have asked for a better result. We’re all pretty pleased, the team is ready to go, when he’s ready, we’re ready.

He’s in a knee brace at the moment, he only has movement up to about 70 degrees. We have a post-op appointment today to test where it’s at, but we’ve been talking to the surgeon most days and also the physio.

They’re really, really pleased, he might be recovering faster than what we were expecting so it’s good news,” Horsfall told SEN Breakfast.
