FARGO — Fargo Davies announced Tuesday that it has filled three coaching vacancies.

Stephanie Oliver will take the reins of the volleyball program while Adam Haskins will lead the boys soccer team. Tyler Carlson was also hired as the Eagles’ next girls cross country head coach.

Oliver succeeds the former head volleyball coach Carolyn Olson, who recently announced her retirement from teaching and resignation as coach.

Oliver attended Killdeer High School where she was a multi-sport athlete in volleyball, basketball and track and field. She went on to attend Rochester University in Michigan, where she played volleyball at the NAIA level and was an All-American and Libero of the Year honoree.

“I’m excited to be a part of the Eagle family and culture,” Oliver said in a news release. “I’m looking forward to growing the program and continuing its legacy as one of the top schools for volleyball.”

Oliver holds a master’s degree in sport performance and rehab with certification in strength and conditioning. She has coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels before her family moved to Fargo last summer. Oliver also serves as the director of sports science and strength coach for the Fargo Force.

“We are excited to have Stephanie on our coaching staff,” Davies activities coordinator Lenny Ohlhauser added. “She has experience at various levels that will help continue a strong volleyball tradition at Davies. With the resignation of one of the best coaches in the state, we feel fortunate to have Stephanie oversee our program and continue with the success Davies volleyball.”

“I look forward to coaching and mentoring student-athletes both on and off the field, along with maintaining the culture of success and hard work that Davies Athletics has been instilling into all their programs,” Haskins said in the release.

Haskins is employed by the city of West Fargo and is a U.S. military veteran, enlisting with the Air National Guard and doing one tour to Afghanistan in 2012.

“Adam has great experience in both the boys and girls soccer programs,” Ohlhauser said. “Through the multiple experiences at different levels, it will be exciting to see him bring his skill set to the head coaching position and lead our boys soccer program.”
