When the chips were down, the big names for the Celtics stepped up with their season on the line on Tuesday night. They were in a back-and-forth battle with the Heat in game four, but an 18-0 run in the third quarter, along with a 12-0 stretch in the fourth, helped Boston blow by Miami with a 116-99 win, avoiding the sweep.

All five starters for the Celtics ended up with double-digits in the win, including Jayson Tatum who put up 33 points, completing the double-double with 11 rebounds. Jaylen Brown chimed in with 17 points, along with Grant Williams coming off the bench to drop 14.

Jimmy Butler tried to lead the charge for the Heat, ending up with 29 points, but the offense went stone cold in the second half. Despite losing their first game at home in the playoffs, Miami still has a chance to clinch a berth in the Finals for the first time since 2020.

The Heat are looking to get it done in Beantown, as they are 5-3 on the road this postseason, including winning the first two games of this series. Including those defeats, the Celtics are just 4-5 at TD Garden thus far.
