Manchester United are continuing their search for a striker with Harry Kane known to be the main target this summer.

The future of Kane is dominating the headlines this summer as Erik ten Hag attempts to do what Manchester City couldn’t and prise him away from Daniel Levy and Tottenham.

MEN Sport understands United are already preparing for Levy to play hardball and alternative options are being monitored. The Reds also remain interested in Chelsea’s Mason Mount.

The Chelsea midfielder is known to have held talks with United’s representatives and the Manchester Evening News understands Mount has agreed personal terms with United but a fee has yet to be agreed.

Elsewhere, Donny van de Beek is said to be questioning his future at the club, having endured a tough time since his move from Ajax in 2020. The midfielder suffered a serious knee injury earlier in the year but is expected to be back for the start of pre-season.
