Cori Gauff finds new coach ahead of Wimbledon

World No 7 Cori Gauff has added Pere Riba to her coaching staff ahead of Wimbledon, per MARCA. Gauff, 19, split with coach Diego Moyano just before the start of the clay season in April. After traveling alone for the past few months, Gauff has found a new coach.
Pere Riba, a former world No 65, previously worked with rising Chinese star Qinwen Zheng. Gauff, who is aiming to elevate her game and become a Grand Slam champion and world No 1, believes Riba can help her achieve her goals.
Gauff hires Riba after splitting with Moyano
With Moyano, Gauff made a Grand Slam final and entered the top-10 final for the first time in her career. But in April, Gauff and Moyano went their separate ways. “Thank you!

Gauff responded at the time: “Thanks for an incredible year on tour together and a lot of great memories with the team.
I hope you enjoy some quality time at home. As you always say, time to keep building.” During the French Open, Gauff was assisted by Serena Williams’ former Patrick Mouratoglou. But it wasn’t a full-time partnership or anything like that – just Mouratoglou helping out Gauff while he was at the French Open.
“I’m not the official coach of Coco Gauff. Coco is part of my academy since she was 10. She doesn’t have a coach at the moment. She is going to play Roland Garros. So I decided, per her request, to spend time with her on the court, to help her at least for Roland-Garros,” Mouratoglou said at Roland Garros. It remains to be seen if coach Riba can help Gauff elevate her game to a new level.
