Salem Police arrest two for delivery of methamphetamine

Salem Police have arrested both occupants of a vehicle for methamphetamine delivery and possession of 15 to 100 grams of methamphetamine.

34-year-old Whitley Mulvaney of Meadowlane in Salem and 33-year-old Michael Wimberly of East 4th in Kinmundy were taken into custody following a traffic stop at North Broadway and Rogers Street.

After initially being ticketed for driving without insurance, police were given permission to search.  They allegedly found 35 grams of methamphetamine in five labeled baggies along with a scale and a small amount of cash.

The traffic stop occurred at 1:02 Saturday morning.
