Spain vs. Japan highlights: Japan wins Group C with 4-0 win vs. Spain

Japan continued its 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup campaign with its final Group C match against Spain at Wellington Regional Stadium in Wellington on Monnday (on FS1 and the FOX Sports app).

Both teams entered with two wins and thus made this match one to decide the winner of Group C. Surprisingly one team had no issues, but that was not the betting favorite as Japan raced out to a three-goal lead right before they reached halftime. That would be all they needed and eventually paced them to a 4-0 win and giving them the top spot in Group C. 

Hinata Miyazawa scored the first goal for Japan and then collected her second right before the end of the first half. The impressive performance set Japan up to clash with Norway, who is coming off a decisive win of their own, in the Knockout Stage.
