Choco Mucho battles Vietnam nat’l team in VTV Cup opener

The Choco Mucho Flying Titans open their campaign in the VTV Cup International Women’s Volleyball Tournament against no less than home team Vietnam 1 on Saturday, August 19 in Lao Cai.
Led by Sisi Rondina, the Filipino volleybelles face the Vietnamese national team built around star players Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and Doan Thi Lam Oanh at 8:30 p.m.
Choco Mucho, which finished seventh in the recently-concluded PVL Invitational Conference, then takes on Vietnam 2 on the 20th and Australia the next day.

The Dante Alinsunurin-mentored team battles South Korea’s Suwon Club next on the 24th and Japan’s Kansai University on the 25th.
The seven-team tourney follows a single round-robin format where the top two battle for the championship while the top three and four dipute the bronze.
The fifth and sixth seed teams collide in a battle for fifth match.
