Big boxing is back in the Ukrainian capital with a big bang!

TBG, Balu, and FavBet are holding a fight with a UBO Super Light Weight world championship belt at stake.

Panama’s brave Irving TRAVIESO Berry (23-9-2) came to Kyiv despite the fact that several blasts could be heard in the Ukrainian capital before the weigh-in on Friday, 11^th of August 2023.

He met with a young Ukrainian prospect (22 years old) Nazri Ragimov (11-3-0).

Although the organizers warned spectators that in case of an air attack, the show would be canceled, spectators were sent to the shelters and no tickets could be returned because of force majeure circumstances, the concert hall in Ice Terminal was booked solid, and in addition, spectators collected several thousand dollars for charity and supporting the armed forces. Young ballerinas chanted Nazri-Nazri!! 

Brovary resident Ragimov, hailing from Mykolaiv in the south of Ukraine, from round one mounted pressure on the slick Panama southpaw, who proved his boxing nickname, and despite having eaten quite a lot of leather from the Ukrainian, continued his stubborn resistance until in round 9 Nazri has landed a powerful body punch which sent Berry reeling.

He tried to make several steps away from Nazri rather than taking a knee, which proved to be a major mistake contradicting the Golden rule of boxing: Defend Yourself At All Times! Nazri jumped like a tiger and knocked the already-shocked Panaman flat with a left hook to the chin.

To this point, the audience was ecstatic, as some of the undercard domestic fights proved to be very bitter!

Super middle Denis Korenev (from Sumy, 11-0) vs Alex Antonov (from Kharkiv, 5-2-1) (Split Decision, 8),

Ramil Gajiev (from Odessa 14-2-1) vs Bogdan Borovy (from Kharkiv, 2-4) (KO5),

Oleksander Shyty (Dymerka, 7-1-1) vs Rostyslav Razumny (Kharkiv, 3-3) (UD8),

Those fights proved to be so bloody competitive and heated up the local boxing lovers, that young ballerinas coming to the ring and chanting greetings to the fighters sounded in unison with thrilled adult male boxing aficionados!!

So, with this KO win, the public rushed to the ring celebrating the victory with their fighter. Fortunately, no air attacks were registered this night. 

PS, Yes, it’s not a major belt, but it was a sensational boxing night for the people who are so desperate for peaceful sports emotions!
