Married at First Sight Australia star Harrison Boon has praised fellow MAFS star Daniel Holmes for his win after their amateur boxing fight.

Harrison came head-to-head with Daniel in the boxing ring at The Melbourne Pavilion on Saturday night (August 19).

The two MAFS stars battled it out for three rounds, with Daniel emerging victorious.

“Congratulations @_danielholmes_,” the caption began. “Daniel fought well, we both went the distance, didn’t back down and gave the people a good fight.

“In the end it came down to a few points it was a close fight. Much respect for how he handled himself in the ring.”

Harrison went on to thank his boxing coach Steven Rados and promised fans that this wouldn’t be his last time in a boxing ring.

“Looking forward to improving and coming back even better for my next fight,” he said.

Daniel replied to Harrison’s post, also commending his performance. “Great job man! You and Steve killed it,” he wrote.

Fellow MAFS groom Duncan James also left a comment on Harrison’s post, calling it a “close contest”. “You did really well on your first fight mate,” he added.

In the same post, Harrison shared his thanks to his friends and family for their support with the fight, which included a special shout-out to his “beautiful partner” Gina.

Harrison confirmed his relationship with Gina back in May, as they stepped out together for the launch of Australian reality TV show Model Farmers.

In July, while appearing on the Back to Reality podcast, Harrison hinted a proposal could be on the cards soon, as he described Gina as “the one”.

In the interview, Harrison revealed that he and Gina were planning a trip to Europe soon, adding: “That trip to Europe could also yield a surprise”.

Harrison was married to Bronte Schofield on season 10 of the show, but the duo had a very up-and-down relationship.

They eventually called time on their romance ahead of the season finale.
