Just think if the Nebraska volleyball team had won the national championship.

A season that led to so many amazing photos and memories would have even more.

Last season truly was like no other in program history, largely due to the global attention the program received when it set a world record for attendance for a women’s sporting event with 92,003 at its football stadium match on Aug. 30.

Then the good times just kept going all the way until the final day of the season, when Texas beat Nebraska in the national championship match. Nebraska began the year with a 27-match winning streak.

You could fill a book with all of the amazing photos. There are thousands of photos from the stadium match, including aerial images. And photos of the Nebraska players going up to serve with the massive South Stadium in the background.

There were some great photos when Nebraska beat No. 1 Wisconsin. Coach John Cook celebrated with the student section on the court, donning a cowboy hat.

There were photos from the locker room celebration after Nebraska won the Big Ten championship. And don’t forget the photos when thousands of Nebraska fans traveled to the NCAA Final Four, and lined the path when the players arrived at the arena. The “sea of red” may be overused, but there’s no better way to describe the scene outside the arena in Tampa, Florida.

In Cook’s office is a large photo showing the final point of the match when the Huskers rallied from a large deficit to beat Washington in the NCAA Elite Eight in Seattle in 2008 to make it to the Omaha Final Four.
