The wealth of talented volleyball in the area has been strong in recent years.

And the 2023 season was no different.

With a pair of All-Ohio first teamers in Sara Snowbarger of Wooster and Naomi Keib of Smithville, the All-Daily Record team is loaded with standout individuals from hitting to defense.

In all, eight locals earned all-state honors, with Ava Troyer (Hiland), Katelyn Eberhardt (Tuslaw), Taryn Fath (Smithville), Alyssa Geiser (Waynedale) and Haley Yoder (Hiland) joining Snowbarger and Keib.

Combine that with a pair of teams — Hiland and Smithville — making run to the Sweet 16 of their respective divisions, and two others — Wooster and Tuslaw — advancing to district finals, the fall had its share of highlights.
