Three Top 5 Teams Among Field At 28th OUTRIGGER Invitational
HONOLULU – The third-ranked University of Hawai’i men’s volleyball team will host the 28th OUTRIGGER Invitational this week which features yet another stacked field. The tournament runs Thursday, March 7 through Sunday, March 10 at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center and includes host UH, top-ranked Grand Canyon, No. 5 UC Irvine, and No. 14 Lewis. Last year’s field attracted the top three teams in the country — UH, UCLA and Penn State, all three of whom made it to the semifinals of the NCAA Championship later that season.

Thursday (March 7) – 80’s NIGHT
- Experience a blast from the past with top music hits and 80’s themed clips will be played on the video board to give flashback to the iconic decade.
- In the spirit of 80’s night, fans are encouraged to wear their favorite 80’s apparel.
Friday (March 8) – PRIDE NIGHT
- Join us in celebrating diversity and inclusion on Pride Night.
- Wear your favorite rainbow-colored apparel and be one of the first 1,500 fans to receive rainbow-colored lei (Gate A).
Sunday (March 10) – MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT
- Members of the military past and present will be honored throughout the match.
- The men’s volleyball team will don special military-inspired uniforms as a tribute to the military.
