Beach Volleyball beats No. 20 A&M-Corpus Christi

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Beach Volleyball closed out the season with a big win over No. 20 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, 4-1, on Saturday at the Wright-Whitaker Sports Complex.

The Longhorns notched their first ranked win in program history and closed out their first season under head coach Stein Metzger with a 7-8 overall record.

Ava Patton and Presley Wright got the match started strong for Texas, winning 21-11, 21-14 to clinch the first point.

Katie Hashman and Emma Grace Robertson picked up the 21-14, 21-19 win on the No. 1 court and improved to 8-4 as a pair this season.

To clinch the win for the Longhorns, Ayden Ames and Hannah Ogden won at No. 4 defeating Elizabeth Cortez and Kela Moreno, 21-16, 21-17.

The final point for the Longhorns came at the No. 5 flight with Reagan Rutherford and Jenna Wenaas winning in three sets.
