Grand finals are about taking opportunities, we didn’t take them

A dissapointed Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s coach Mosese Rauluni says grand finals are about taking opportunities and they didn’t take them in their 50-14 loss against the Waratahs in the Super Rugby Women’s final in Ballymore.

Rauluni says a few balls to hand and it would have been a different story.

The Drua were outscored 8 tries to 2 by the Tahs in the one-sided final.

He says the Tahs beat them physically with their ball carries while the Drua tackles were too high which got them yellow cards and put them on the back foot.

The coach says he knows the girls are better than that so it’s better not to dwell in the past.

He says the Waratahs have been the benchmark team all season with their skill, execution and fitness and have been way above everyone.

The Drua fly back to Fiji tomorrow.
