Former Formula 1 ace David Coulthard has claimed his high testosterone levels are a direct result of his high-speed career.

At 53, Coulthard says he’s still got it, with tests reportedly placing him in the elite tier for hormone vitality. It seems tearing up the track at 100 miles per hour isn’t just a thrill – it could be the secret to maintaining youthful vigour.

While not everyone can jump into a state-of-the-art race car, Coulthard’s experience suggests that the adrenaline rush of professional racing might just turbocharge your body’s testosterone production.

“I got a glowing report there and also a medical report,” Coulthard shared with Eddie Jordan, his ex-racing colleague and co-host on the ‘Formula for Success’ podcast (via the Daily Star). “I had my testosterone checked and I am in the top 1% of males apparently.”

“One of the thoughts is that because of high levels of adrenaline through a sporting career then that sort of super charges the testosterone in the body. So no issues there.”

Coulthard’s revelation is certainly interesting news, especially for his partner, the much younger Swedish model Sigrid Silversand. It seems Coulthard’s unique lifestyle has equipped him with quite the advantage when it comes to keeping up with a partner 23 years his junior.

Coulthard’s recent bombshell revelation might raise some eyebrows, though, given that he’s fabricated tales about his personal life previously. In a daring confession to Jordan, he admitted that boasting about love sessions bettering his race performance was more fib than fact.

“It was obviously just a bit of bulls**t,” the old hand candidly conceded. “I don’t remember saying it but it does sound like something I would say just for the reaction.”
