Connor Hall sweeps Langley Saturday night twins – Short Track Scene

Connor Hall said it.

He’s gunning for short track history this season and he’s off to a pretty impressive start in accomplishing both of his stated goals in 2024.

Hall once again swept a pair of Twin Late Model Stock races, this time on Saturday night at Langley Speedway, his first wins at his home track this season, adding to NASCAR Weekly Series victories already accrued Southern National Motorsports Park, Florence Motor Speedway and Hickory Motor Speedway.

With the wins, his 10th and 11th of the season counting towards NASCAR national points, Hall leads both the national championship and the CARS Tour season through five races in that division too.

With the CARS Tour racing on Friday at Ace Speedway, it permitted Hall to make the trip back home to Virginia so he could take his family owned blue No. 77 to Langley. He led the first race wire-to-wire from the pole, pulling away from Greg Edwards and Woody Howard over the final long green flag run to take his first win in his first race at Langley, coming in the third weekend of the weekly season.

“Yeah, really good car,” Hall said. “We made some adjustments after qualifying and made it a lot better. Big shoutout to Clayton Parrish, the best crew chief in the business, Brad is the best tire guy … everyone who makes this possible.”

Then came the second race, where Hall overcame very quickly a 10 car invert from the results of the first race. He reached Ryley Music on Lap 21 and quickly made the pass and the race stayed green the rest of the way to give Hall another victory towards the national points.

“When they stacked up on the restart and I was stuck on top, I was worried I was wasting my time up there,” Hall said of a kind of slow start.

“But we doubled our same adjustment from the first race and made it better. We’re chasing this national title again and these are the sort of races you need to get there.”
