Jordynne Grace’s open challenge answered by NXT wrestler in TNA

With the recent crossover between TNA and NXT, an open challenge from Jordynne Grace surely meant one thing. An NXT wrestler would answer the call for a shot at the Knockouts Championship. The question was who. We found out the answer on Thursday night’s episode of Impact (July 11, 2024).

Introducing… Izzi Dame.

Dame strut a cocky walk to the ring. Unfortunately for her, that confidence did not result in success. Dame used her height advantage to taunt the Juggernaut on the proverbial test of strength. Grace gripped Dame’s arm to force it down to her level for a Greco-Roman knuckle lock. Grace powerhoused her opponent for slams and suplexes.

Dame rallied by smashing Grace’s throat into the ropes and pounding her head into the turnbuckles. Dame’s most impressive move was a marching vertical suplex lift into a Falcon Arrow slam.

In the end, the champion retained gold. Grace turned the tide for a rolling fireman’s carry slam and closed with a pumphandle driver.

All in all, it was a respectable showing from Dame. She pushed the champ to a competitive bout, but it was clear that Grace was on a higher level. Plus, the matchup was a good visual for the Juggernaut to muscle through a much taller opponent.

Next on the menu for Grace is a Knockouts Championship defense against Ash by Elegance (aka Dana Brooke) at the Slammiversary PPV on July 20.

Share your thoughts of Izzi Dame crossing through the Prohibited Portal from NXT to TNA.
