The six tennis courts at the Cherry Hill Park will be repurposed into pickleball courts.
COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — The Inland Northwest Pickleball Club (INWPC) received a $85,000 donation that will allow them to repurpose the tennis courts at Cherry Hill Park in Coeur d’Alene into twelve pickleball courts.
The facility will be named “The Parker Subaru Pickleball Complex” due to the donation from Parker Subaru that allowed INWPC to build the courts and install large windscreens around the courts, allowing for better outdoor gameplay.
The new courts will be unveiled on Thursday, July 11 at the 2024 Coeur d’Alene Classic, a large tournament with 500 pickleball teams, at Cherry Hill Park.
These courts will be open to the public after the tournament ends on July 14.
“We’re thrilled to partner with INWPC to bring this project to life and provide a premier facility for pickleball enthusiasts to enjoy for years to come,” said Kyeli Reinert, the Human Resources Director at Parker Subaru in a press release.
