St. Paul handball teams win zone banners in Bonnyville


This year, teams from St. Paul Regional High School were crowned the 2024 NEASAA Team Handball champions for both the boys and girls division.

BONNYVILLE – This year, teams from St. Paul Regional High School were crowned the 2024 NEASAA (Northeast Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association) Team Handball champions for both the boys’ and girls’ divisions.

The zone tournament was held in Bonnyville at the C2 and École Notre Dame High School on April 30 and May 1.

Shaun Peters, commissioner with Two Hills School, says it was a “great two days of action,” and he was happy with the great sportsmanship shown on the court.

He thanked the Notre Dame School staff for hosting the event.

Results

Participating schools at the zones were Mallaig School, École Notre Dame High School, St. Paul Regional High School, and Two Hills School.

In the boys’ division, St. Paul took first place, with host school Notre Dame claiming second.

St. Paul also won the banner in the girls’ division, with Two Hills School winning second place.
