Alankrita Sahai: I’ve taken up military-style workouts, boxing and yoga | Hindi


People have used the past few months to relook at their exercise, diet and fitness routines and Alankrita Sahai, Miss Diva Earth 2014, is one of them. The Delhi-born pageant winner and actor has taken to a strict fitness routine where she combines weight training with military-style workouts. She also combines a form of boxing and yoga in a new kind of fitness hybrid.

Sharing a little about what she follows and why, Alankrita says, “I have a low-carb, high-protein diet. I have not taken to the keto diet as I find it extreme. I prefer a balanced diet and one which prepares me for a performance.” Her fitness routines are in place, too. She says, “My workouts include weights and cardio, at least three to four times a week. Then I do military training, too. I find that it works beautifully on the mind. I also combine boxing and yoga as it gives me explosive power well as the calmness that we all need. After doing this, I feel fitter and healthier than ever and so far it’s going really well. I urge everyone to take up some form of exercise and to also check their diet and keep a watch on their intake. Health is paramount and it is up to us to take care of it.”
