Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang says he had ‘bad feelings’ at time of leaked Mikel

Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has said he is “aware” of a video that shows him criticising his former Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta when he “still had a lot of bad feelings in me” — but says he now “wish(es) all my old guys well”.

Aubameyang, 33, left Arsenal in acrimonious circumstances last year to sign for Barcelona on a free transfer.

The breakdown in Aubameyang’s relationship with Arteta was chronicled in Amazon’s “All or Nothing” documentary on the club, with Arsenal eventually electing to pay off his contract to facilitate his early exit.

Over the weekend a video depicting Aubameyang talking about his time at Arsenal went viral, which includes the striker accusing Arteta of being incapable of managing “big characters or big players”.

In the video published by the YouTube channel A Jewellers, he says: “I remember (Barcelona) first called my father. We knew the coach, Xavi, then he called me and said there is an opportunity because you have those problems with Arsenal, but if you come you will help us a lot. So I said, ‘OK’.

“But to manage big characters or big players, (Arteta) can’t deal with it. He needs some young players, they don’t say anything, they listen.”

On Monday, Aubameyang acknowledged the existence of the video but said at the time he still had a lot of “bad feelings” about his time in north London.
