Andy Murray shares advice to Emma Raducanu

Andy Murray has advised Emma Raducanu to give time to any partnership she makes as that’s the only way if she wants to see a lasting improvement. Raducanu, 19, has worked with several coaches over the last year and a half.
After firing three coaches, Raducanu added coach Dmitry Tursunov on a trial basis. Last month, British media reported that the partnership between Raducanu and Tursunov ended because the Russian coach decided not to continue his collaboration with the 19-year-old.
Also, British media reported that Raducanu added strength and conditioning coach Jez Green to her coach. But since Green has a full-time job with Dominic Thiem, it is probably a short-term arrangement.

Giving time to any partnership is the key
“I think with any relationship, whether it’s strength and conditioning or tennis, it’s making sure you’re spending enough time with that person to really make a difference.
Unless you really dedicate the time, it’s difficult to make a difference. So if they (Emma Raducanu and Jez Green) get to spend enough time together, I’m sure that would be helpful. If it’s not Jez, then a strength and conditioning coach full time would be helpful for her.
Try to improve the physical side and avoid the niggles and injuries, and the best way to do that is to get stronger and have someone around you more consistently,” Murray said, per Tennishead. After Wimbledon, Raducanu added to her coaching staff on a trial basis.
The plan was to be on a trial with Tursunov until the end of the US Open and then decide the next move. After the US Open ended, Raducanu continued to work with Tursunov. Many felt that it was a clear indication that Raducanu was happy with Tursunov as her coach.
Then last month, British media reported that Raducanu was no longer working with Tursunov, but that it wasn’t her that made the decision. It remains to be seen who will be Raducanu’s next coach.
