Daniil Medvedev says he will never force his kids to play sports as he will let them decide what they want to do in their life. Medvedev, 26, became a father for the first time in his life this past October as he and his wife welcomed a baby girl to this world.

Judging by his latest comments, Medvedev plans to have more kids in the future. “So that’s how I want to be with my kids. I don’t want to force them to do anything. I want to show them life. I want to for sure show them different sports I like.

I like racing, I like tennis, I like soccer. But maybe they’re not gonna like sports. So I want to show them different museums, arts, singers. I have no idea. But I am looking forward to it because I like this chapter of my life.

I am happy that I am a father. I am looking forward to what life brings to me as a father,” Medvedev said in a video shared by his fan account.

Medvedev on becoming a father: Some wonderful emotions

Medvedev is not really someone who tends to show too much emotion.

But when Medvedev became a father for the first time, he admitted it led to some emotions he didn’t think he would be able to feel. “That’s a lot of emotions I thought that I was not able to feel. I’m not able to feel at this caliber because I am quite a little bit cold person in life, and then I felt so many good emotions that ‘wow, I’m a sensible person.

I can be a sensible person.’ Lot of calm. Lot of good feelings,” Medvedev told Tennis TV. Meanwhile, Medvedev competed at last week’s Diriyah Tennis Cup in Saudi Arabia. Medvedev, who won the inaugural Diriyah Tennis Cup in 2019, fell just short of winning his second title at the tournament as he was beaten by Taylor Fritz in the final. Even though Medvedev didn’t win the Diriyah Tennis Cup, it was a positive week for him ahead of the 2023 season.
