The Arizona Cardinals’ quarterback room is going through a brutal stretch of injury news. QB1 Kyler Murray was the first to go down after suffering a torn ACL in Week 14 of the season. Colt McCoy took over the duties in Week 15 and played just 35 snaps before exiting the game with a concussion.

Next up on the Cardinals’ schedule is a Week 16 clash against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury provided an update on McCoy’s concussion and revealed the team’s starting QB plans for Sunday.

According to Kingsbury, McCoy has not yet cleared the concussion protocol. Third-stringer Trace McSorley will start in his place.

McSorley struggled in his relief appearance during Week 15. The third-year backup tossed 2 interceptions in the 15 pass attempts he made.

For now, the Cardinals are considered 7.5-point home underdogs in Week 15, per NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
