Ranking the Best as We Head Into the Season


Wondering what the top Formula 1 race tracks are? Let’s first discuss the sport!

Formula 1 has been on a supersonic rise into sports relevancy over the last few years, and the league is showing no signs of slowing down. In the 2023 season, Formula 1 will be touring the globe–from the Las Vegas strip to the desert of Abu Dhabi.

Over the course of 2023, Formula 1 will be presenting a 24 race calendar. The season will kick off in Sakhir for the Bahrain Grand Prix and will finish out the season in Yas Island for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Here are my rankings of the top Formula 1 race tracks as we head into next season!

12: Las Vegas Grand Prix

One of the most interesting locations that F1 will be headed this season is Sin City. Las Vegas hosted an F1 race in 1982 known as the Caesars Palace Grand Prix, but this will be the first time the sport returns to gambling Mecca in the desert.

This will be the last of the three F1 races held in the United States this season, marking the first time the U.S. has hosted that many races in a single season. The track this year is supposed to take place across Paradise, Nevada with the track looping through Las Vegas iconic strip. The circuit length with be 6.12 kilometers, making the race length 305.88 kilometers, or 190 miles. Is it too soon to put Vegas on my top Formula 1 race tracks list? I say no!

11: Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari

The seventh round of the 2023 F1 circuit will take place in beautiful Imola, Italy. Commonly referred to as ‘Imola’, the Formula 1 Gran Premio Del Made will be held at the legendary Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, named after legendary Ferrari founder Enzo Ferrari.

The Imola Circuit is a staple in F1, with the venue signed to host F1 events through 2025. Italy is such an iconic venue for the sport of racing and Imola is one of its perfect backdrops. This is a race you will not want to miss.

10: Silverstone Circuit

Silverstone Circuit originally hosted the British Grand Prix in 1948. The Aramco British Grand Prix will take place the first weekend of July, making it the 12th race of the season. Silverstone Circuit remains one of the most iconic racetracks the world has to offer, and there is no doubt we will see F1 races here for a long time.

9: Circuit of the Americas

Austin, Texas will be home to one of three F1 races that are taking place in the United States throughout the 2023 season. The United States Grand Prix was held in Texas from 2015-2019, and makes it’s return in 2022. The Circuit of Americas was built in 2010, making it the first track built in the United States for the purpose of F1 races.
