Rigged: Charges laid over Tokyo 2020 Olympics procedures


Six companies have been charged over the suspected rigging of bids for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics.

Japan’s top advertising agency Dentsu is among one of the companies charged following the arrest of a senior member of the Tokyo 2020 organising committee last month.

Japan’s Fair Trade Commission alleges the collusion took place in 2018 – covering key contracts for the Games worth $475 million.
