San Jose Sharks defenseman Erik Karlsson recorded his 100th point of the season with a goal in a 6-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Monday. Here’s what you need to know:

He is only the sixth NHL defenseman to tally 100 points in a single season and became the first defenseman to do so since Brian Leetch accomplished the feat in 1991-92.

Over 14 seasons in the NHL, Karlsson has 178 goals, 582 assists and 760 points.
