Former Liberty guard Kennedi Williams signs with Oregon women’s basketball


Oregon women’s basketball finally has an offseason addition via the transfer portal.

Former Liberty guard Kennedi Williams signed with the Ducks on Monday. She has one year of eligibility remaining.

Williams, a 5-foot-7 guard, averaged 7.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.4 steals while starting all 33 games for the Flame last season. She shot 54.2% from the field, including 37.5% from three, and 79.2% from the free throw line.

With 60 starts in 124 career games, Williams averaged 4.5 points, 1.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists in her four seasons to date.

She joins UO’s recruiting class of Sofia Bell, Sammie Wagner and Sarah Rambus and Lane College transfer Bella Hamel.
