Frenkie de Jong has spoken out on the summer transfer window, insisting his future plans are ‘clear’ amid continued reports linking him with a move to Man United

The Barcelona midfielder was consistently touted for a move to the Premier League last summer, amid ongoing financial difficulties. at the Nou Camp. Both Chelsea and Man United were linked to the Dutchman, with United thought to be leading the way following the appointment of De Jong’s former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag as manager.

“That has been clear to me, also last summer when things were restless for a while,” he told Voetbal International when asked if he saw his future at Barcelona. “I always knew that I wanted to stay at Barcelona.”

Rashford responds to Kane and Rice transfer worry

Marcus Rashford insists that England won’t be distracted by the ongoing transfer speculation surrounding Manchester United targets Harry Kane and Declan Rice.

United forward Rashford linked up with his pair of Three Lions team-mates this week and could also spend next season alongside the duo at Old Trafford. Kane, 29, is Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag’s top striker target, although Tottenham are expected to demand at least £100million during likely fraught negotiations between the two clubs.

Rice, meanwhile, is poised to leave West Ham after owner David Sullivan confirmed that he’d almost certainly played his final game for the club. Arsenal are the frontrunners for his sought-after signature but United remain interested in the Europa Conference League-winning midfielder and have been since before Ten Hag arrived last year.
