Marseille agree deal for Watford winger Ismaila Sarr

Marseille have agreed a deal with Watford to sign winger Ismaila Sarr.

The 25-year-old is scheduled to undergo a medical on Monday and personal terms are in place ahead of the proposed transfer being completed.

Sarr has a year left to run on his current contract with the Championship side but there have been no meaningful talks about an extension at Vicarage Road.

Aston Villa came close to signing the Senegal international last summer, while Crystal Palace and Tottenham have previously monitored his situation.

But the attacker, who played at the World Cup in Qatar last year, is now poised to make the move to Ligue 1, with his playing style viewed as a perfect match for Marseille coach Marcelino.

Sarr joined Watford from Rennes for a club-record transfer fee of £28.8million.

He made 39 appearances for Watford in all competitions last season, scoring 10 goals and recording six assists.
