UNC basketball freshman just outside of top 25 in NBA draft big board
The 2023-24 college basketball season hasn’t even started yet but there is talk already about the 2024 NBA draft and prospects available.
Among the players gaining come attention is five-star point guard Elliot Cadeau who reclassified from 2024 to 2023 to join the Tar Heels a little earlier than expected. Cadeau is still among the top players in the 2023 class and show find a big role early on for the Tar Heels at the guard position.
And he’s also gaining some early pre-draft hype.
Bleacher Report released their first big board for the 2024 NBA draft and just outside the top 25 at No. 26 is Cadeau. Here is what Jonathan Wasserman wrote on Cadeau:
Cadeau’s 6’0″ size and athletic limitations seem likely to divide scouts. But passing typically translates, and there may not be a more masterful facilitator in this year’s class. His value revolves around creating easy shots for teammates with hit-aheads in transition, pick-and-roll dimes and quick decisions, and though he’d help himself by shooting threes at a respectable clip, he can still find ways to score with his craftiness, IQ and touch.
Cadeau is the lone UNC player on the big board from Bleacher Report and did appear in a previous mock draft as a lottery pick.
It’s still very early in the pre-draft process and we have a whole season to go for Cadeau to raise his stock even more.
