The Qatar Section of International Society of Automation (ISA), the largest worldwide professional body for Instrumentation and Control engineering professionals, recently organised its 109th seminar on “the latest design and benefits of electro-chemical sensor technology in gas detection of oil and gas industry” .
Ian Cameron, Product Line Manager, MSA, Canada, presented the concept of new Electro Chemical sensors application in gas detectors by extending its operating life from 2 to 5 years.
Cameron highlighted the various types of gas detectors along with optimization of OPEX due to such life extension of those sensors.
The seminar was presided by Nilangshu Dey, President, ISA Qatar Section and attended by Instrumentation & Control engineers of QatarEnergy, Qatar Gas, QAFAC, QChem, Oryx GTL, Dolphin Energy, QAPCO, QASCO, Worley Parsons, Technip and other engineering and contracting companies of Qatar, a statement issued by ISA Qatar Section said.
