Joel Dahmen has mixed feelings on ‘Full Swing’ after popularity takes off like

Joel Dahmen may be the most famous golfer you’ve never heard of — until now.

The 35-year-old from Clarkson, Wash., finished 84th this year in the FedExCup Standings, compiling a body of work that teases a career on the cusp of breaking through.

Nowhere was that more evident than during his appearance on Netflix’s “Full Swing.”

Dahmen (and his signature bucket hat) was one of a handful of golfers featured in the eight-episode series which debuted in February.

Netflix also turned its cameras on the likes of Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth, Collin Morikawa and Scottie Scheffler for the series, which aimed to show what life is like on and off the course during the PGA Tour season.

In a conversation with The Post, Dahmen talked about his increased notoriety thanks to Netflix.

“Uptick would be one word. You could call it a rocket ship or whatever that is,” Dahmen said.

“I went from basically kind of a no one or a guy who wore a silly bucket hat to every week I’m being noticed, I’m having larger crowds, more autographs, things like that.”

Dahmen was featured in the fourth episode of “Full Swing” and it zeroed in on his relationship with caddie and best friend Geno Bonnalie.

Among the storylines developed by Netflix was Bonnalie’s belief in Dahmen, especially when the golfer turns to subdued humor to deflect conversations about his game.

While Dahmen said Netflix “did a great job,” he said that if he had been editing the show, he would’ve explored other angles.

“We gave them enough content that they could’ve gone different ways,” Dahmen said, adding he would’ve liked to see “more goofing off” and the “brotherly banter” he shares with Bonnalie.

“I’m not as self-deprecating as it made me out to be,” Dahmen said. “If I didn’t have belief in myself and the belief in what I was doing, I would have never made it on tour.”

But he has, and Dahmen is reaping the rewards that come with that success.

Dahmen has been named “whiskey caddie” for Bushmills Irish Whiskey, which is the official whiskey of the PGA Tour.

Dahmen evenhas a signature drink: “Joel’s Juicy Lie.”

Will it be as popular as an Arnold Palmer (iced tea and lemonade) or a John Daly (an Arnold Palmer spiked with vodka)?

“I’m willing to even buy your first round,” said Dahmen, who cited Bushmills’ website for further details.
