There are a number of NCAA Basketball whose fathers have played in the NBA before. That includes Jase Richardson, son of former long-time NBA veteran, Jason Richardson. He was known for being not only one of the best athletes in the world at that time but also a prolific scorer in his prime, including a career-high 44 points in 2006 as a member of the Golden State Warriors.

Jase is more of a facilitator than a natural scorer, though he can certainly put the ball in the basket as well. He’s a 6’3 combo guard from Las Vegas who’s a great athlete in his own right, while also capable of running an offense.

Richardson is currently in the midst of taking some visits this Summer after releasing a list of eight contenders back in May. Now that some time has passed, here’s a look at how he’d fit with each of these options.

Alabama Crimson Tide

The starting backcourt for the Tide is projected to be Aaron Estrada and Mark Sears, two seniors on their last years of eligibility. 4th-year transfer Latrell Wrightsell is the only other true guard on the roster so the team needs to add probably a couple from the 2024 class overall. Besides Richardson, Alabama is also after five-star point guard Zoom Diallo, along with top-20 combo guard, Jalil Bethea.

Arkansas Razorbacks

The Razorbacks have a ton of guards on the roster after a big transfer portal season. The ones that have to go include El Ellis and Khalif Battle, while both Tramon Mark and Davonte Davis do have 5th years available. Besides worrying about being recruited over, Richardson also has to deal with both top-30 freshman Layden Blocker and Keyon Menifield, the transfer guard from Washington that’s redshirting this season.
