A Top 10 college volleyball recruit has changed her commitment from Nebraska to Texas about one week before she was set to sign her national letter of intent.

Ayden Ames, a 6-foot-4 middle blocker from Prosper, Texas, announced her commitment to Texas on social media on Wednesday morning. She committed to Nebraska last summer, just a few weeks after Nebraska could make offers to her class.

This fall, Ames was working to graduate from high school early with plans to arrive in Lincoln in January.

Each of Nebraska’s middle blockers from this season are set to return — current sophomores Bekka Allick and Maggie Mendelson, and freshman Andi Jackson.
