LIV Golf released a partial schedule for its upcoming third season, unveiling a slate with an increased international presence, multiple events going head to head with marquee PGA Tour events and some notable omissions.

The schedule revealed Wednesday includes 12 of LIV’s expected 14 events. Seven will played internationally, a number that could increase to eight when the full schedule is completed. The six currently scheduled domestic U.S. events include new stops in Las Vegas, Nashville and Houston.

In 2023, LIV played six events internationally and eight in the United States.

The schedule released Wednesday does not include dates or sites for LIV’s 2024 individual and team championships. It’s expected those events will be moved up on the calendar, to avoid pushing the schedule into October, as was seen in the last two seasons.

LIV’s 2024 season will open in Mexico the first week of February. The following week, LIV will play Feb. 8-10 at Las Vegas Country Club before Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

The other new U.S. stops will be played June 7-9 at the Golf Club of Houston, host of the PGA Tour’s Houston Open from 2003 to 2019, and June 21-23 at The Grove in Nashville. Rich Harvest Farms, which hosted LIV events outside of Chicago in 2022 and 2023, is not on the 2024 schedule.

A handful of 2024 LIV events will be played directly opposite notable PGA Tour events. The Las Vegas tournament will go up against The Genesis Invitational. A March 1-3 event in Saudi Arabia will be played during the Arnold Palmer Invitational. A March 8-10 event in Hong Kong will go up against The Players Championship. The Houston event will be played opposite The Memorial.

Whether or not these events will be played with LIV and the PGA Tour operating under the same umbrella remains to be seen. The framework agreement creating a for-profit company combining the commercial golf interests of the tour with an investment from the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund that owns and operates LIV has yet to be finalized.

LIV Golf is not going away. Neither are questions about its future

LIV’s regular season will end Aug. 16-18 at The Greenbrier in West Virginia.

In addition to dates and venues for the individual and team championships, Wednesday’s schedule release did not include the U.S. site for an April 5-7 event before the Masters.

The schedule also doesn’t yet include Trump Doral, the site of the 2022 and 2023 team championships. It’s believed former President Donald Trump’s resort in Miami could instead be the site for that early April event.

If LIV does opt to return to Doral for the ’24 team championship, it would fall in the throes of what should be a dramatic 2024 U.S. presidential election cycle. After hosting two of its first eight events at Trump-owned courses in 2022, LIV played only at Doral in 2023.

A possible site for the 2024 individual or team championship is South Korea, where LIV is…
