The evening

the Eagles over the Hawks. The series was decided in the Super shoot-out, where
Daniil Medvedev outperformed Hubert Hurkacz 10-4, securing the first win for
his team.

The
tournament’s format is determined by five matches between each team, counting
the games won by each team. In the case of a tie, a decisive tie-break is

The first
duel of the session was the mixed doubles, with the Polish pair of Iga Swiatek
and Hubert Hurkacz giving an initial advantage to the Hawks by defeating the
Russian duo of Mirra Andreeva and Andrey Rublev 6-2.

In the
women’s doubles, Andreeva teamed up with former Australian Open champion Sofia
Kenin to face the partnership of Caroline Garcia and Iga Swiatek. This time,
the Eagles secured the victory with a score of 6-4, narrowing the gap.

Next up
were the men in the doubles, featuring a spectacular showdown between the
Russian pair Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev against Hubert Hurkacz and
Casper Ruud. The victory went to the Russians in the tie-break with a score of
7-6(1). This brought them even closer to the Hawks, trailing by just one game
(15-16).

The fourth
duel was the women’s singles, where Sofia Kenin ultimately gave the advantage
to the Eagles with a triumph over Caroline Garcia 7-5, setting the stage for
the last duel. The total score was 22-21 in favor of the Hawks.

In a
remarkable performance by Hubert Hurkacz, he won the men’s singles by 7-6(4),
tying the game count at 28-28 and securing a super-shootout tie-break. The
former world No. 1 Russian claimed victory with a score of 10-4, securing the
definitive advantage for his team with three extra points (31-28).

The last
day will feature duels between the Eagles and Falcons and Kites against Hawks.
Currently, the Kites have two wins, Eagles and Falcons have one win each, and
the Hawks have two losses.
