The Kentucky Wildcats rolled the Louisville Cardinals this evening to move to 9-2 as the team head home for Christmas Break.

Normally, these next few days are quiet around the program and the media world, but the Cats do have a storyline to keep an eye on over the next few days: The return of Zvonimir Ivisic

Earlier this week, it was reported by Kyle Tucker of the Athletic that Zvonimir Ivisic may head home for Christmas Break and decide to stay there to train for the NBA Draft if no NCAA decision was coming down heading into the new year.

For now, it appears that will not be the case, according to John Calipari in his postgame press conference Thursday night.

Calipari was asked about Ivisic and said that the 7-foot-2 center would head home to Croatia but would return before the Illinois State game.

“I’d rather him be with me, stay with me. But for him, the best thing for him is to get home. He needs to be around his family,” said Coach Cal.

Calipari also pointed to Z dropping from 242 pounds to 219 pounds, saying, “He’s not sleeping, he’s not eating.”

The UK coach is still hopeful, though, that they will hear something soon, despite the NCAA Compliance office closing until January 2nd.

This has been a tough process for Zvonimir, and it would appear this is still a fluid situation.

Let’s hope the NCAA gets their stuff together and we get to see Big Z take the floor soon.
