Texas A&M, Mike Elko hire WR Coach Holmon Wiggins away from Alabama – Good Bull Hunting

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

As Mike Elko has rounded out his coaching staff in recent days/weeks, the one big mystery remained who the wide receivers coach would be. That question was answered empatically on Tuesday, as TexAgs’ Billy Liucci broke the news that Alabama WR Coach Holmon Wiggins would be making the move from Tuscaloosa to College Station.

Wiggins has been Alabama’s WR Coach since 2019, and prior to that coached wide receivers at Virginia Tech and Memphis. He’s brought multiple top-rated WR recruits into the program, including Kobe Prentice, JoJo Earle, Jalen Hale, Ja’Corey Brooks and current 2024 Bama commit Ryan Williams.

Safe to say that prying a position coach away from the Crimson Tide is a major get for Mike Elko.
