Eriksen raves about Kobbie Mainoo
Manchester United usually make a point of trying to shield young players from attention, and to a degree, they are trying to keep a lid on the Kobbie Mainoo hype.
But you just can’t escape it. Christian Eriksen is one of the players who has been blown away by what he has seen from Kobbie Mainoo, in matches and behind the scenes.

Eriksen told club media: ” I’m very impressed.Luckily I’ve seen him in training and I’ve seen him [from] close by.
“I really like what I see. I mean, he’s an exceptional player.
“He’s still a very young lad, but he’s doing really well, and he’s getting his spot in the team.”
Mainoo set for big 2024
2023 was a breakthrough year for Kobbie Mainoo, in which he made his Manchester United debut, and then established himself as a regular.
An even bigger 2024 could lie ahead, with Mainoo set to get even more game time and further establish himself into the first team.
Getting the chance to play alongside Eriksen and Casemiro can only help. While there are no direct targets to set for Mainoo for the year, to say, he ‘must do this, or that’, another 12 months of upwards progression, injury-free, will keep him moving in the right direction and make Manchester United stronger.
