Marco Bezzecchi’s former mechanic to be the coordinator at Trackhouse Racing

The most visible movements in MotoGP involve the riders, but behind the scenes, there are also some changes for the new season. Trackhouse Racing, which succeeds RNF as Aprilia’s satellite team, will have a new coordinator from the VR46 Racing Team.

Robin Spijkers, who was Marco Bezzecchi’s mechanic until last season, will take over from Stan Meek, who will be with Monster Energy Yamaha this year. This was revealed by one of Trackhouse’s leaders, Wilco Zeelenberg, to Racesport.nl: ‘The good news is that we can welcome Robin Spijkers as a coordinator within the team, he was Marco Bezzecchi’s mechanic last year. Our coordinator Stan Meek moved to Yamaha, but with Robin on the team, we’ll be fine’.

In the same column for the mentioned site, the Dutchman also discussed the team’s preparations: ‘We are still in the process of finalizing everything regarding RNF and transferring the equipment, and the contracts with Trackhouse are also clear. With that, everything is a bit clearer now, and we have already confirmed the winter tests with flight and hotel bookings, etc.’.
