Diamond DeShields has signed a contract to join the Chicago Sky.

After missing the entirety of the 2023 season with the Dallas Wings due to a knee injury, DeShields is looking to get back to action with a new club in 2024, her sixth season in the WNBA. Turning 29 years old in March, DeShields still has plenty of basketball ahead of her and has the ability to boost an offense with her ability to score from multiple areas on the court.

DeShields spent the first four years of her professional career with the Chicago Sky, averaging 13.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals while shooting 40.8 percent form the field and 31.0 percent from three in 113 games. She also secured a championship with the Sky during the 2021 season alongside Candace Parker and Kahleah Copper.

Prior to the 2022 season, the former third-overall pick was part of a multi-team trade that sent her to the Phoenix Mercury, where she averaged 13.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.0 steals over 25.3 minutes in 30 games in her most recent WNBA action.
