UAAP: UST’s Bianca Plaza shares positive update on Kobe 8 delivery mishap

UST Golden Tigresses middle blocker Bianca Plaza and Lalamove are one step closer to having a positive resolution to the custom shoe delivery issue.

A peaceful resolution seems to be in the cards for courier company Lalamove and UST Golden Tigresses’ middle blocker Bianca Plaza.

In a Facebook post updated on Saturday, Plaza’s camp expressed their gratitude for Lalamove’s “prompt and gracious response” regarding the return of her customized shoes, a positive turnaround from their initial conversation with the courier.

“It is heartening to see a company like yours demonstrating such compassion and dedication to customer satisfaction. Your willingness to go above and beyond to make things right speaks volumes about your integrity and commitment to excellence,” the post written by the page administrator read.

Recall that last Wednesday, Plaza eagerly anticipated the arrival of six pairs of Kobe 8 Protros, all customized for the Golden Tigresses. Each shoe was a unique piece, featuring an athlete’s jersey number—a special touch that added to their value and significance.

However, when the delivery finally arrived, Plaza’s excitement turned into disappointment. Among the six pairs, there was one glaring absence—her own.

Since then, Plaza and her team have been trying to reach out to the driver in the hopes of retrieving her shoes once more.

“We have also met up with the Lalamove rider to discuss the issue regarding Bianca’s missing shoes,” the updated post read. “During our meeting with the Lalamove rider, we discussed the matter of Bianca’s missing shoes, and he expressed genuine remorse for the situation.”

“Bianca’s camp eagerly awaits the fulfillment of your promise and is looking forward to the timely replacement of the missing shoes. We are confident that with your professionalism and dedication, this matter will be resolved satisfactorily,” it added.

For now, UAAP fans will await the time when Plaza can wear her custom Kobe 8s once more in the Golden Tigresses’ games this second round of the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament.
