Rangers Say Josh Jung Has A Fractured Wrist – MLB News

2 hours agoTexas Rangers manager Bruce Bochy announced after Monday’s 9-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays that third baseman Josh Jung (wrist) suffered a fractured wrist after he was hit by a pitch during the ninth inning. Jung exited in the middle of his at-bat after launching a three-run home run earlier in the game, and he was replaced by Josh H. Smith at third base. It’s awful news for the Rangers and fantasy managers alike, as the 26-year-old All-Star is going to face some kind of extended absence following the setback. Jung was off to ridiculous start, too, hitting 7-for-17 (.412) with two homers, six RBI, and one stolen base covering four games. While he’s sidelined, super-utility man Ezequiel Duran is worth a look in all fantasy formats for his positional versatility and likely everyday role at the hot corner for however long Jung is out.Joseph Barbati – RotoBaller
